Are You In A Social Media Marketing Bind? Begin With These Great Ideas!

By Carman Durnford

Using social media marketing tools can be a great way to promote your business. You don't want to waste valuable time trying to figure out the social media sites though, or trying to market your product effectively. In this article, we will discuss some tried and true time saving tips for social media marketing.

Be sure that your content is interesting and unique, so that other social media users will want to share it with others. People succeed by using social media, but only if their content sticks out from others. If you are out of ideas, you can always find inspiration online or from family and friends.

To successfully market your products and services with the help of social media, you may need to draw on the savvy of others until you locate your own voice. Know what your competitors do in their campaigns and know what is working for them. Look at their social profiles, check out their specials and discounts, and read their content.

Take the initiative to follow your customers and reach out to them away from social media. If your customers have a blog and are posting about your company, engage with them and interact on their blog. Link to their content on your social media pages and this will encourage more people to follow you from the bloggers fan base.

When using social media to market your business or product, be sure that you create a title that will draw people in. A boring title will make viewers skip over your article, thus, your marketing efforts will be for nothing. Also, make sure your title is relevant to your business or the product that you are selling.

Do not post irrelevant and trivial posts on your social media profiles. Always keep your posts professional and relevant. No one cares that you got a new cell phone, or that you are standing in line at the movies. These trivial posts should be reserved for your own personal profile, not your business profile.

Add a link to your Facebook page or a 'like' button with a Facebook feed on your blog or website. You can easily find HTML codes for these in the settings of your Facebook profile. This will allow your visitors to 'like' your page and subscribe to your posts without having to look you up on Facebook.

Take note of what hour of each day that you see the highest number of responses and retweets regarding your account on Twitter. Take advantage of this knowledge, and try to post more frequently during these times. If your messages are automated, modify your settings so that new tweets are posted during the times when your followers are especially active.

Advice, such as the paragraphs above, is always important to seek out when needed. There will always be people who have been involved longer and can help out when things seem too tough or confusing. In time, you will find your own niche and mastery of social media marketing. Your reward for following the advice can be a company that is both profitable and growing.
