The Best Disney Tours To Take

By Mark Russell

Ask any kid to make a list of places they would love to go on vacation, and many of them would definitely write Disneyland or Disneyworld, or possibly both on their list. This is because there are rides and attractions that are downright iconic at this point, and lots of fun to be had. But if you do not also take one of many Disney tours offered at each place, then you are not truly experiencing all that Disney has to offer, so consider singing up for one.

Disneyworld in Orlando is more than just one park. It is a series of parks, and you can tour some behind the scenes areas of each and everyone. Many people love to see what happens behind closed doors, but most come for the chance to see the giant underground utilidor tunnels that allow workers to supply restaurants and attractions with food and merchandise.

Animal Kingdom is another park in Orlando, and it features lots of animals form around the world, including elephants. You can take the Caring for Giants tour to get less than 100 feet away from these magical animals, which is much closer than the average park guest gets.

Every family has at least one Star Wars fan, and many have a full family of fans. Either way, they should check out the Star Wars Guided Tour at Hollywood Studios. You get prime seating for all the live shows with your favorite characters, and a Path of the Jedi film screening. Let your 12 and under kid go to Jedi training, and then eat a themed meal as part of the tour, along with tons of other activities and attractions.

Some will tell you that to visit each and every Disney park in the Orlando area, you would have to spend nearly a week there. If you want to have a special tour of all the best and most thrilling attractions across all the parks, then take the Ultimate Day of Thrills VIP tour. Here, you get your own guide who stays with you the entire day and takes you on a ton of rides at Epcot, the Magic Kingdom, and even at Hollywood Studios, where the attractions are based on some of your favorite Disney TV and movie characters.

If you choose Disneyland instead, you can still get all kinds of wonderful experiences in Anaheim. The Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour lets you experience this famous park from the eyes of its creator. You get lunch or dinner at Main Street USA provided by Jolly Holiday Bakery and a collector pin that is very sought after.

Many families from out of town stay at the Disney resort, and if they do they can get the special Resort VIP package, which includes your own personal tour guide who will take you to both California Adventure Park as well as Disneyworld itself. You also get lots of other values, such as priority access to let you skip the line at attractions, and a PhotoPass for unlimited picture downloads throughout the day for your memories.

The Grand Circle Tour lets you get on a train and ride in Lilly Belle, which is the favorite personal parlor car of Walt Disney. In addition, you get a free snack that is themed to the tour and access to a special collectible as well.
