By Joseph Jacob

Selecting the most suitable candidate for a job position is not very easy. Even if all companies try to select the best candidate for a job position by checking their applications, many fail to select the right one. Most of the companies hire bad people and end up with lots of problems.

Due to this issue, selecting a person by only checking the application should not be done. It is important to select one through a series of interviews and background checking processes. Recruiters can follow various tactics to identify good candidates. Here are some few tips to differentiate good applicants from bad ones.

Good candidates appear in interviews on time. Punctuality of an individual says lots of things about his behavior. If an individual performs punctually, he knows the cost of time and he also respect to the interviewer's time. If someone does not come on time for interviews, the prospect of getting the same attitude is high when he performs.

Excellent candidates have relevant experiences and academic backgrounds. We cannot anticipate excellent activities from an individual who have no relevant proficiency and understanding. It is essential to execute a background analysis to see whether the applicant has the right credentials.

Check the verbal and nonverbal communication of candidates and identify the best. Good applicant maintains a good body language. They have a good personality and professional attire. People with lack of interest on what the employer says during the interview and poor eye contacts cannot be considered as good candidates. The good ones always maintain perfect eye contacts, gestures and interest on what others talk.

Good candidates do not have police records at all. So, it is essential to execute a criminal history analysis of all candidates.

Good candidates are enthusiastic about their tasks. You can clearly see their passion and the energy they have to do their best.

If a person has different job routes in his past job records, or if someone informs that he needs to go through a totally different career path in the future, he will not stay in the job so long. So, never seek the service of such individuals because they will go away very soon.

If there are any differences between the factors he showed and the factors you found through the background check, do not hire such individuals regardless the size of the mismatch.

Apply these essential guidelines during the recruiting procedure to differentiate outstanding candidates from bad ones. Then only you can collect a huge set of good workers to take your company towards its accomplishment.
