The Next NFL Predictions Against The Spread

By Rebecca Ellis

With the second round of the NFL divisional playoffs just around the corner, speculations have dominated the mouths of fans. They have a lot of zeal and anxiety in light of what they expect will prevail during the contestations. It is fun to speculate and remain optimistic for best outcomes of the spreads of the weekends Divisional games. My view on the NFL predictions against the spread is discussed below.

First, there is the hot contest between Kansas City Chiefs and New Englands Patriots. This is hopefully going to be an entertaining game to the fans, but difficult to the players. The Chiefs are at a disadvantage of having injured key players. For instance Rob Gronkowski will reportedly miss in that game, on medical grounds. The Patriots will also have to bear having to play without the crucial roles of Jeremy Maclin, who is an offensive player. This is because the player has merely practiced in the recent past, and not even once for the past one week. My judgment on this one is the Chiefs will struggle to keep up with the tough game within a goal.

Another game scheduled for the weekend is Green Bay Packers against Arizona Cardinals. In my opinion, the Packers are not a very strong team, though they came behind to beat the Washington by a whooping seventeen points, last week.

With recognition of the fact that the Cardinals have not had an encounter for the past week, they obviously have reserved all their energies for this tussle. This is in addition to their recent sterling form, including hammering the same Packers with an unprecedented 38-8, a month ago. My view on this game is that the Cardinals will comfortably take the day.

Another game that will be of keen interest will be Seattle Seahawks, who will be off to weigh on Carolina Panthers. The Seahawks are lucky to be still in the playoffs. Though many would laugh away the probability that the Seahawks will be at a position of containing the ruthless Panthers, I presume they will. I hold the opinion that the Seahawks will outsmart the Panthers, outright.

However, in my view, they overshadow the Panthers, in retaliation and revenge of their thin loss against the Panthers last month, of a meager four points. This happened before the Seahawks reorganized themselves and got back to their winning ways, which propelled them to the topmost position in DVOA.

Pittsburgh Steelers will be interacting with Denver Broncos. The Steelers have struggled their way to the playoffs, and will be without the vital services of Antonio Brown, their best receiver, and DeAngelo Williams, their leading rusher.

They will also be lacking Ben Roethlisberger. Things, in my view, will take a different turn this time, contrary to the previous encounter whereby Pittsburgh Steelers beat Denver Broncos. My expectation on this game is that the Denver Broncos will outweigh the Steelers.
